Panda Palate background assets

The first group project I worked on during the Masters's course was an android, single screen platforming, mobile game. I concepted and created all the assets for the first region, consisting of 5 levels. The game is called "Panda Palate" and can be downloaded for free on the google playstore.

The final mountains used for the first part of the region. We wanted to avoid the feeling of floating platforms. Therefore, I made them "bigger and broader" so platforms could be placed in front of them.

I split the final landscape drawing up in different layers (far background, which will be static, a layer of interactive platforms, a layer for the character and a static foreground).

I showed my previous rough sketches to the team, and together we decided which parts we liked the most. I then combined those in to a final landscape drawing.
