Pristmatic: Sun design proces

Sun is one of the Peace Keeper robots, commanded by First. Sun's model is one of the newest; it's streamlined, doesn't have any exposed wires and an active and passive mode. Unlike First (whose model is a balance between combat, speed, and durability) Sun's design highly prioritizes speed. His model is the lightest and fastest (with multiple built in engines) but also the least suited for hand to hand combat.

Painted over Sun's most recent design and played around with different colours of metal. The final version is a mix between silver and gold coloured metal plates. Sun carries two sticks on his back that he can join to form a staff.

I wasn't too keen on the glass plate in the helmet, it was too big and didn't really fit with the rest of the design. So I went back and did some iterations on that.

I took the parts I liked the most from the rough sketches and did some more iterating on that (mostly playing with patterns and shapes). I really like the "scaled" torso look and tried implementing the anthropomorphic leg ideas from the initial sketches.

I started out sketching different silhouettes (trying out anthropomorphic legs) and moved on to concepting the look of Sun's head, trying to mix the look from the Monkey king (from Chinese folklore) with the scifi helmet look.
